HANOI COUNTRYSIDE JEEP TOUR DETAILED ITINERARY:
– Our Hanoi countryside Jeep tour starts at your hotels in and around Hanoi Old Quarter. We soon leave the busy streets of Hanoi via a scenic road winding through the city’s Old Quarter, through the urban outskirts, and into the countryside. We’ll cross the famous Long Bien bridge and zipping along the maze of the zigzagging alleys in the outskirt villages of Hanoi on the other side of the Red
river. Leaving the city behind, we then get to the countryside, riding along the winding country roads, taking us to the paddy fields to meet friendly local people where the live and work in their farms and livestock such as water buffalos, ducks, chickens, cows… It is a great opportunity to have hands-on experiences about farming works and building cultural connections.
– After spending time in the field to learn about Vietnamese rice farming, we then ride to the countryside village where such friendly people live. Not only meeting local people at work, we also meet them at home, local markets, school and community places and temples. One’s destination is never a place but a new way of seeing things. Our destination is Co Loa, an ancient citadel of Au Lac Kingdom, dating from the 3rd century BC, considered as the oldest citadel in Vietnam. It is interesting
the learn about the origin and mythology of Viet people and their ancestors.
– We then have a short walk around the village, visiting a local bonsai garden, chatting with locals and enjoy lotus fragrance tea at the very local tea-house as local people do for entertainment.
