Day 1: Hanoi – Lam Thuong – Trekking to Nam Chan Waterfall (250 km)

7:30 AM: Pick up at the designated point and start the 4.5-hour journey to the Lâm Thượng valley – Lục Yên, where the Tày – Nùng – Dao ethnic people live, immersed in the natural scenery of hills, fields, gardens, and palm forests that are always green all year round.

12:30 PM: Arrive at Ngọt House, rest, and enjoy a delicious lunch made from the region’s finest local produce, prepared by the skillful local chef, Mr. Hậu.

After lunch, the local guide will lead the group to visit Khéo Lèng village, Tông Ping Cại, and Nặm Chắn Waterfall, where you can soak in the cool stream water and enjoy a natural massage from the moss-covered rocks. On the way back to Ngọt House, you’ll have the opportunity to capture peaceful photos of the village at sunset.

After dinner with local specialties such as stream fish, local chicken, and the famous Lâm Thượng stream duck, the group will join a cultural performance by the local women, directed by Ngọt, the village’s cultural expert

Day 2: Mountain Trekking & Picnic Lunch on Lung Trang Peak (or Exploring Khai Trung and Na Ken Waterfall)

Today promises an exciting and challenging adventure as we conquer Pu Lung Trang Mountain, also known as Hill 700.

Today will be a memorable challenge as you conquer Pu Lung Trạng peak, also known as Hill 700.

8:00 AM: After breakfast, the local guide will lead you on a journey through flat roads that wind through beautiful Tày stilt houses surrounded by gardens, fish ponds, and vast rice fields alongside palm and bamboo groves. You’ll breathe in the fresh air before starting the rocky mountain trail used by locals to gather forest products.

The local guide will teach you survival skills in the forest and warn you about potential dangers from plants to insects. After more than an hour of climbing, you’ll stop at a small hut where locals run a farm, enjoy a cup of forest tea, and recharge for the next steep slope.

As you climb higher, you’ll admire the beauty of the flora and fauna, with jagged rocky mountains and distant herds of goats and wild buffalo foraging for food. Finally, you’ll reach the 700 hill peak! From the vast grassy area, you can see the surrounding villages and take photos of your conquest while the guide prepares a picnic lunch.

Continue your journey down the mountain through 5 levels of plains with flat grasslands and majestic scenery that will make you forget the way back. At the foot of the mountain is Khai Trung commune, where most of the Red Dao ethnic people live.

Depending on the group’s health, the guide will arrange a pick-up point for the group to travel back to Mận Homestay, where you can enjoy a free traditional herbal foot bath or a herbal bath upon request before a warm dinner with the family.

Day 3: Village Exploration & Luc Yen Gemstone Market – Return to Hanoi (250 km)

Lục Yên is famous for its large reserves of gemstones, especially ruby, sapphire, spinel, and tourmaline. The gemstones here are highly valued for their quality, color, and purity. A wide variety of gemstones are sold here, from raw stones to polished stones that have been crafted into jewelry. Visitors can find precious stones of various sizes, shapes, and colors at competitive prices.

The guide will provide visitors with knowledge about gemstones to help them identify a beautiful stone and avoid buying fake or poor-quality goods.

The Lục Yên Gemstone Market has the atmosphere of a traditional highland market. Buyers and sellers exchange and bargain freely and amicably.

After visiting the market, you will return to the homestay for lunch. The group departs for Hanoi at 1:30 PM and arrives in Hanoi around 6 PM. The trip ends.
